This specimen
of varisite comes from a mine in Utah. Varisite is a mineral composed
of aluminum and phosphate (as if you really wanted to know!) and
ranges in color from light to dark green. As can be seen in these
images, it is in a matrix with other minerals (most likely other
phosphates). |
