I love the geology
of the Four Corners region, especially the canyon country of Southern
Utah. I did not discover the Grand
Staircase Escalante National Monument until 2002 when driving
back from Capitol Reef. Hiking some of the smaller drainages, I
have come across some excellent formations. This drainage has mainly
white stone with some interesting green and pink bands running through
it. The drainage continued to fascinate me as I headed down. |
