Agave truncata - USE CODE "CNAB81" FOR ORDERING

Like most agaves, otherwise known as century plants, the Agave truncata does not flower until maturity at 20 years or more. At this time, a large flower spike grows from the center of the plant. After produces seeds from the flowers, the plant then dies. This particular agave is often used in decorative landscaping. This picture was taken in May, 2006 in southern California.
