During my drive
up the PCH, I stopped at San
Simeon Pier. Walking out on the pier, I stopped to talk with
a fisherman fishing for halibut. I wasstanding where the pier has
a couple of what I call "ears" for lack of the knowledge
of the proper term. This was where the pier is wider than the rest,
with benches and sinks. Looking underneath the pier I realized that
the salt-encrusted pilings would pick up a blue tint being in shadow,
and thus I was able to create some images that were studies in blues
and greens. This detail picture was taken in May, 2005. |
