The orange Mariposa
tulip grows in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains north
of Tucson, AZ. This is the brightest of the tulips, and the purple
stamen provide a wonderful color contrast. I found numerous tulips
in Santa Catalina State Park in March, 2003. This images works as
a great triptych with
