Flowers are a welcomed sight
in the desert southwewst, but unless significant rain falls during
the winter months, the blooms are sparse. The winter of 2004-2005
produced some wonderful displays, such as this one of Mexican
poppies in the Organ Pipe Cactus
National Monument along the western Arizona Mexico Border.
