Rain is fairly scarce in the
Mojave desert where Death Valley National Park resides. The winter
of 2004 saw record rainfall of 6.6 inches. The basins do not drain
to the sea, so I was able to catch the snow-covered Panamint Range
reflected in the Panamint "Lake."
