The gypsum sands of White Sand Dunes National Monument in south-central New Mexico creates a magical place to spend a night or two. Over Thankgiving weekend in 2004, I enjoyed the winter weather out on the dunes. The layers in this image are many and amazing! The low clouds reflect the blue light off the dunes.
