Agave truncata - USE CODE "CNAB61" FOR ORDERING

Like most agaves,
otherwise known as century plants, the Agave truncata
does not flower until maturity at 20 years or more. At this time,
a large flower spike grows from the center of the plant. After produces
seeds from the flowers, the plant then dies. This particular agave
is often used in decorative landscaping. This picture was taken
in May, 2006 in southern California. |
