The Bristlecone
Pine tree species has been recorded as the oldest living individuals
on earth, with the Methuselah
tree being estimated at over 4800 years old. These photos were taken
in the Great Basin National Park. Due to its dense resinous nature,
the wood remains for hundreds of years. The ice and wind has sculpted
these snags, revealing wondrous landscapes. |
