Chaco
Canyon, in northwestern New Mexico, contains the best Puebloan
ruins in the southwest. I was camping here in December of 2001,
when we were blessed with a few inches of snow overnight. As I lay
in the tent, listening to the snow falling, I knew the shot that
I wanted to get. I woke up before anyone else and made my way to
Pueblo Bonita where I knew I could look through four doors at once. |
