The Agave palmeri
grows at moderate to high elevations in the desert, often found
in oak grasslands. This picture was taken in September, 2007 in
Chiricahua mountains in southeastern Arizona. The four shots here
(the two previous, this one and the next) are close-ups focusing
on color and the thorns. Believe you me, I lost quite a bit of skin
getting these shots. I love how the blue comes out in this shot
and how sharp the leaf margins are. |
