The Agave palmeri
grows at moderate to high elevations in the desert, often found
in oak grasslands. This picture was taken in September, 2007 in
Chiricahua mountains in southeastern Arizona. The four shots here
(this and the next three) are close-ups focusing on color and the
thorns. Believe you me, I lost quite a bit of skin getting these
shots. I love how the thorns are so tortured. |
