The Havasupai
Reservation on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon is home to
some of the most spectacular falls
in the United States. It is a 10 mile hike to the falls - and
boy is it worth it - and you can camp or stay at the lodge. You
will generally see photos of the large falls flowing over travertine
with turqouise pools below. I found the finer details within the
region to be rich in images. I love the hanging gardens decorating
these travertine walls. I hiked to the falls with 11 other folks
associated with the Arizona
Hydrological Society in May 1999.
